Anal Wart
An anal wart is a symptom of HPV detected by a pap smear.
If detected early they may be treated with medications, topical agents, and herbal immune enhancers. Other forms of treatment such as electrocautery, surgical excision, or a lasersurgery under local anesthesia may be used. Those internally located may require a combination of surgical and immunotherapies. New vaccines are under clinical trials.

Condylomata acuminata affecting the area around the anus may appear smaller than a pinhead and not exhibit discomfort; therefore, they may go unrecognized. They are directly related to with Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infections and are transmitted through sexual contact. Untreated they may increase in size and become cancerous. An anal wart is a symptom of HPV detected by a pap smear.
