Wart On Hands
Wart on hands is not caused by the same HPV strain that causes a vaginal wart or penile wart.
HPV causes these benign growths initiating an over production of cells at the base of the outer surface layer of the skin. Abrasions create a portal for Papillomavirus to penetrate and cause cellular impairment. Thus, children who bite their nails or pick at the cuticles are more prone for these.

Growths appearing initially small flesh-colored pimples that slowly grow into a rough raised bump are classified as common. There may be black dots resembling seeds in the center from surrounding capillaries. Other small and flat bumps remaining small, but clustered up to 20-100 at a time is categorized as flat. Wart on hands is not caused by the same HPV strain that causes a vaginal wart or penile wart.
